Future Ecopreneur Programme

Powered by Hang Seng Bank, and co-organised by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) & Wofoo Social Enterprises, the Future Ecopreneur Programme (the “Programme”) is designed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship within the Green Technology and Sustainable Development in Hong Kong. Through a series of training and activities, the Programme intends to nurture and empower a community of young changemakers who innovate and drive collective impacts on sustainability, and combating climate change.

The participants will be equipped to become Future Ecopreneurs or Eco-pioneers through HKSTP Ideation Programme to turn knowledge into action by validating ideas, develop prototypes, and eventually evolve into community projects and / or successful businesses that drive positive change for a more sustainable future.

Objectives

To raise the awareness of young people on climate change and sustainable development

To build capacity for young people to become Eco-preneurs/ Eco-pioneers through theme-based entrepreneurship and sustainability trainings

To offer action-based learning opportunities through HKSTP Ideation Programme, Eco-pilot project (community-based project), and overseas eco-tours to help young people turn knowledge into actions and solutions to combat climate change and drive sustainable development

Programme Overview

Awareness Building

Raising awareness of youth on sustainability and the impact of climate change. 

Eco-ambassador Scheme throughout a year
(Exact event dates will be updated): ​

  • Online Briefing Session
  • *Green Engagement Activities with the themes of Climate Change, SDGs and Green Living – (1) Community Service, (2) Local Tours, (3) Green Workshops
  • Sustainability Awareness Talk Series

*Certificate will be issued to those who attend all 3 categories of Green engagement activities within 6 months.

Capacity Building

Nurturing and equipping youth to become Eco-pioneers and Ecopreneurs to combat climate change

Activities:

  • Ecopreneurship Bootcamp  (Day camps in 3-day)
  • Sustainability Masterclasses

*Participants will be entitled as Eco-pioneer upon completion of Capacity Building activities with 80% of attendance,  and invited to submit (1) proposals of Eco-pilot projects (community-based green projects) with possibility to be awarded up to HK10,000 per eligible team to support its project with trainings provided OR (2) applications for HKSTP Ideation Programme to turn your green-tech ideas to business.
