Stote is a startup supported by the CUHK I‧CARE Social Enterprise Startup Scheme and the HKBU Social Innovation Kickstart Fund, dedicated to promoting sustainable living by extending the lifecycle of textile waste through upcycling.
The hotel industry relies heavily on disposable products, contributing significantly to environmental waste. Through our ECO STEPINN project, we produce slippers made from recycled fabrics and eco-friendly materials, offering a practical and sustainable alternative for hotels. By reducing carbon emissions, water consumption, and plastic waste in production, we not only minimize environmental harm but also redefine how sustainability integrates into the hospitality sector.
At Stote, we believe environmental protection is not just an idealistic concept or a slogan—it should not rely on guilt-tripping or forcing stakeholders into action. Instead, we focus on economical and practical solutions that strike a balance between business needs and sustainability. Our goal is to create solutions that seamlessly fit into corporate operations, driving scalable environmental impact through industry-wide change.
Slippers are just the beginning. From the moment a hotel guest steps into our slippers and walks through the hotel, our sustainability vision is literally stepping into the industry.
